What Does “ASL” Mean?

American Sign Language (ASL)

ASL is a complete, natural language used by the Deaf community in the United States and parts of Canada. It has its own grammar and syntax and is distinct from English. It relies on hand movements, facial expressions, and body language to convey meaning.
